Keith Bolus was born in Charleston, South Carolina on December 10, 1958. He graduated from James Island High School in 1977, and was vice-president of the Student Body. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston in 1981, and received his Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) in 1984, from the University of South Carolina. He graduated from the South Carolina School of Law in 1986. Mr. Bolus was Assistant Solicitor for the 9th Judicial Circuit in Charleston, South Carolina from 1988 to 1991. He was also City Prosecutor for the Municipal Court of Hanahan from 1992 to 2003. He is a member of the Charleston Count Bar Association. Mr. Bolus was the attorney for the Department of Social Services, prosecuting child abuse cases. His practice areas include personal injury, medical malpractice, criminal defense, including DUI and all drug offenses, family law, workers’ compensation, including on the job injuries. He is married with three children, and has been a youth coach in football, basketball, and baseball for over 10 years.

Michael Tommy Bolus was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on September 16, 1951. He attended the public schools of Charleston, and was President of the James Island High School Student Body in 1968-1969. He was Captain of the wrestling team and a State Wrestling Champion in 1968 and 1969. He graduated from James Island High School in 1969, second in his Class. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the College of Charleston in 1973, graduating Cum Laude, and received the Excellence in American History Award from the Rebecca Motte Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. He graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School in 1976. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1976 and to the U. S. Supreme Court Bar in 1977. He was the City Prosecutor for the City of North Charleston from 1977-1978. He was the Municipal Judge of the City of Folly Beach from 1982-1985 and served on the Folly Beach City Council from 1986-1990. He was the President of the Charleston Surfing Association from 1972 to 1973, the President of the King George Barbell Club at the College of Charleston from 1971 through 1973, and President of the James Island Little League Association from 1993 through 1995.
